Monitoring - Important Reminder: Switch™ Tech End of Service – December 31st, 2026
As previously announced, BEST/dormakaba is discontinuing the Switch™ Tech platform. This notice follows several prior communications regarding the discontinuation and is intended to reinforce the approaching final end-of-service date.
The December 31st, 2026 end-of-service date remains firm.
Effective December 31st, 2026, the Switch™ Deck web portal, Switch™ App, and associated backend services required to support Switch™ Tech operation will be retired and will no longer be accessible or supported. Technical support for Switch™ Tech will also end on this date.
Customers currently using Switch™ Tech should plan to transition to an alternative solution before December 31st, 2026. BEST/dormakaba strongly recommends that replacement solutions be selected, installed, tested, and operational in advance of this date to reduce the risk of a disruption in access control operations.
Partners supporting Switch™ Tech customers are encouraged to proactively communicate this deadline and work with their customers to establish and complete transition plans.
End users are also strongly encouraged to contact their PACS partner, integrator, or access control provider directly to confirm that a go-forward plan is in place. Customers should ensure there is clear communication regarding the replacement solution, required equipment, installation timing, and responsibility for completing the transition prior to the end-of-service date.
If you have not yet received confirmation of your transition plan, we recommend contacting your PACS partner or BEST/dormakaba representative as soon as possible.
Customers and partners Switch™ Tech services will cease to operate beyond December 31st, 2026.
